Activities
  • Networking
We have two monthly "networking luncheons", which are held the third and fourth Thursday of every month. We also have informal networking at the beginning of the General Meeting on the second Thursday of each month. The chamber promotes networking as an opportunity for relationship building with business neighbors.
  • Power Networking Luncheon
Would you like to meet a month’s worth of professional new contacts over lunch? Do you have a service or product that the world MUST hear about? Is your company the best thing since sliced bread? Build new business relationships! Create electric momentum for your business! This is "speed networking" with a twist. This event is held every March, June, Sept, and Dec.
  • Board/Business Meeting
The Chamber business meeting is held the first Thursday of each month. The direction of the chamber is decided at these meetings. Decisions and plans are made concerning activities, events, membership, community involvement, administration, finances and more. All Chamber members are encouraged to participate in the business meeting and share their ideas, comments, suggestions for the future of the chamber.

  • Special Activities
The Chamber has an annual Installation and Awards Banquet in June complete with auctions and a keynote speaker. The Chamber sponsors an annual Holiday event in December. Workshops, events and programs for the education of our youth and our chamber members are ongoing to serve the members and the community. Involvement in community projects remains a high priority of the Chamber.

  • Fundraisers
Our fundraisers change from year to year determined by the Board of Directors. We have hosted and sponsored business expos, golf tournaments, auctions, garage sales, drawings, and much more. We are always looking for new ideas. Each year we attempt to find fundraisers that will benefit our member businesses while promoting and financing the chamber’s goals.
  • AM/PM Functions
Chamber Chatter Connections is an excellent opportunity to network with other members while spotlighting your business. It can be a coffee in the morning, an after five or at lunchtime and can be scheduled any day that we do not have a chamber event. The host provides refreshments appropriate for the time of day. These events give others an opportunity to see what you do and how well you do it! If you do not have a location that works for an event such as this, consider co-hosting with another member and share in the costs and the results!

  • Promoting your business or organization
In addition to attending networking functions and hosting a Chamber Chatter Connections, Chamber members may place ads and inserts in our monthly newsletter and bi-annual printed directory. Members may qualify for FREE advertising in the newsletter by being the Business of the Month, being interviewed for a Member Profile, by providing promotional materials for the new member welcome packets, by offering discounts to chamber members, by referring a new member and by utilizing the group email which provides the opportunity to communicate with other chamber members on a weekly basis. For additional exposure and recognition, members can sponsor the Law Enforcement of the Month, Student of the Month, Events, Promotional items for the Chamber and the Annual Banquet provides many sponsorship opportunities.

Chamber Committees
  • Membership
This committee recruits new members and functions to retain existing members. Members of this committee do membership drives, select incentives for existing members, provide orientation to new members along with the Ambassador committee. They arrange Event Participation in other organizational events such as exhibits and business and community fairs, ribbon cuttings and grand openings and more. These allow us to provide information to businesses and organizations concerning the benefits of belonging to the Chamber.

  • Ambassador
This committee organizes members to personally contact other members to invite them to meetings and inform them of chamber events and activities. They meet and greet at the general meeting and provide orientation to new members along with the Membership committee. They also assemble a welcome packet for new members. This is done by including marketing materials from existing members as an introduction for the new member and free advertisement for the existing member.

  • Program
This committee chooses topics of interest and locates speakers alternating between community awareness and useful business knowledge for the General Meeting. They are responsible for getting a program article for the newsletter from the speaker or for writing the article. They provide follow up with the speaker and coordinate the room set up and menu.

  • Fundraising
Committee members organize and promote a number of fund-raising activities throughout the year determined by the Board of Directors. These activities fund the many community involvement programs, monthly programs, special events, and the chamber operating expenses.

  • Public Relations
This committee provides press releases for the media, assists with other marketing flyers and brochures. This committee also handles the group email. Newsletter sub committee does layout, composes articles, updates calendar and announcements and secures newsletter advertisement. It also arranges for the publication of the monthly newsletter, which is mailed to members and distributed locally plus published online. Website sub committee coordinates changes and updates with the webmaster and also maintains a current membership directory, which is published bi-annually.

  • Government Interests
Involvement in community affairs, educational projects, governmental issues, revitalization of the area, tax advantages for businesses and beautification projects are the highlights of this committee’s work.

  • Banquet Committee
This committee coordinates the activities for the Installation and Awards Banquet, arranges the location, menu, room set up, keynote speaker, agenda, program, prepares articles/flyers for the newsletter, media and general distribution. The Auction sub committee obtains items, maintains listings of items and contributors, sets up display at banquet, prepares auction signage and collects payments.
